Avoiding Self-Sabotaging Patterns to Succeed in Business

1. The Comfort of Inaction
The Trap: Procrastination feels harmless in the moment, but over time it erodes trust, delays growth, and makes you appear unreliable.
The Fix: Adopt a “start small” mindset. Break large projects into micro-tasks you can complete quickly. Build momentum with early wins, speed breeds progress.
2. Living in the Safety Net
The Trap: Relying on external support or guarantees (whether that’s a salary cushion, government assistance, or an unshakable client) can lull you into complacency.
The Fix: Treat stability as a launchpad, not a hammock. Use resources and downtime to upskill, build new relationships, or experiment with side projects. Growth comes from moving beyond the comfort zone.
