COVID-19 Isn’t the Only Virus You Should Be Concerned About
What you can do to protect yourself.
Public Health Officials have confirmed that there is a second death in America caused by the Coronavirus as of today. You may be feeling concerned about the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, that has been reported via multiple media outlets, globally. However, according to the CDC, 16,000 Americans have died from flu so far this flu season.
Here are some specific measures you can take to protect yourself and your loved ones:
· Wash your hands with soap and water frequently.
· Clean and disinfect commonly touched objects and surfaces.
· Avoid close contact with individuals who are sick.
· Stay home when you are sick. The last thing you want to do is go into the office or school.
· Use alcohol wipes and sanitizers.
· Try not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
· Cough or sneeze into a tissue. If you use a tissue, wash your hands afterward.
If you’re sick or think that you may have come into contact with someone who is sick, contact your medical group or physician for directives. Chances are you have the flu or a common cold. Staying home to take care of yourself is one of the best ways to avoid spreading any virus.
