How long did you take to prepare for the cultural changes you’d potentially encounter for your new life here? NY is a very tough city to navigate even for an American.

I read an article years ago about a couple from NY who moved to Northern Ireland and had a similar experience as you are having. They wrote a book about it which helped them deal with the changes.
