In its 2025 list, Forbes identified 3,028 billionaires, an increase of 274 from the previous year. Together, they hold an astonishing $16.1 trillion in combined wealth, proof of the continued expansion of global financial markets, technological advancements, and business innovations in a multitude of never-seen-before ventures. The world has changed drastically.

The Billionaire Boom

The surge in the number of billionaires can be attributed to multiple factors, including the rapid growth of tech-driven industries, stock market gains, and new emerging markets contributing to new and expanded wealth creation.
