A hermit’s dream is coming true... The world is slowly going on lockdown. Country by country. Drastic measures are being taken to slow the spread of the deadly coronavirus. Corporations and Schools around the globe have sent millions of people home to work and learn. Major events and conferences have canceled. Broadway has gone dark. Movie premieres have been postponed. No March Madness. Even the happiest place on earth, Disneyland, has closed its gates to thousands of visitors. Disney World is soon to follow. In light of this pandemic, there are many questions…

How bad is it?

According to the UN’s health agency, the pandemic’s global death toll has reached almost 5,000, while the global number of cases has surpassed 132,000. About 68,000 victims have recovered, according to Johns Hopkins University, which is monitoring the virus.

What if it affects my job?

Layoffs are bound to happen during this economic downturn due to these lockdowns. First and foremost, stay in communication with your employer. If your job function is being put “on hold”, ask your employer if there is another job you can take temporarily. Additionally, you may want to look for side work or remote work you can do.
